I've started my course at Edinburgh College of Art so all being well in 3 years time I will have a BA Hons Degree in Glass. This is where the hard work starts! Really excited at the prospect of getting back in to the creative groove and making wonderful glass art! Above are a couple of slumped platters I made and sandblasted with an organic design based on seaweed.
I've spent lots of time chilling out with my lovely Hubby and rediscovered the joy of reading in the sunshine :)
We spent a magical night in Edinburgh for the festival fireworks, got our tickets then had a delicious dinner before we cuddled up on the grass in Princes Street Gardens listening to the Scottish Chamber Orchestra playing Handel's finest works with a perfect full view of Edinburgh castle and a sky full of fireworks. There's been loads more happening but some of it is top secret but more soon :) lots to look forward to too.. next week we're going to see Billy Connolly at the Usher Hall. A pressie for part of Alan's birthday last week.. now he is officially thirty ten I can indeed call him 'my old man'
