Hard to imagine that the sun will ever be strong enough to warm me as I sit here wrapped up in a thick cardi in my rocking chair watching the rain.
There are still a few things to do in the garden but I am clearly a fair weather gardener!
The front garden is looking a bit better than last year as the planting seems to be filling up their spaces nicely and there is the promise of more flowers this year too.
Green fingers crossed I will have a reasonable amount of produce this year. So far I have tomato plants, chillis, lettuces, potatoes, peas, all manner of herbs and some beetroot.
I shall post pics as soon as the rain stops and the sun comes out but in the meantime I shall continue drinking tea and rocking on.

espresso
Four years and one month ago I had coffee. Today I dived into an espresso and found what I was looking for!

Manipulated Glass
Manipulated Glass, a set on Flickr.
Latest shots of hand manipulated glass that forms part of my final year work. My work looks at the way the light is thrown by the surface of the glass.

New Glass
New Glass, a set on Flickr.
Glass patties formed by gathering iron and glass taken from the furnace poured onto the marver before the surface is manipulated with hand held tools. My interest lies not only in the free formed surface patterns but in the resulting shadows and forms created as the light becomes trapped within the glass.

Beautiful Flowers
Sometimes in this life sad things happen. Losing my Grannie was one of those things. Sometimes in this life good things happen. Having a friend as good as Rab to send you flowers is definitely one of those things.
